[SHOT 2018] Nikon P-TACTICAL Spur Reflex Sight
Nikon showed off their brand new Spur Reflex Sight under their P-TACTICAL line of products at the 2018 SHOT SHOW. Their Spur Reflex Sight features multi-coated optics with an anti-reflective proprietary coating that Nikon calls “TRUCOLOR”, it helps minimize that blue look you get with some of the other reflex sights on the market. It also has unlimited eye relief, a wide 27x16mm field of view and 1x magnification. The Spur Reflex Sight has a 3 MOA dot and 10 brightness level settings with the first two being night vision compatible. Nikon claims 15,000 hours of continuous use from one battery.
The reflex sight also has a low battery indicator within the display to let the user know it’s time to change it out. The reflex sight is made out of aluminum and is waterproof (IPX7 specs) and shockproof and includes a 5 year warranty from Nikon. You can use the Spur on pistols, rifles and shotgun and it weights in at just 1.1 oz. The Spur Reflex Sight also includes a Picatinny rail mount and has an MSRP of $219.95, they should be available very soon from dealers. Check out Nikonsportsoptics.com for more info on the new P-TACTICAL Spur Reflex Sight.

The battery life is supposed to be 15,000 hours. I love the auto shut off after 12 hours for when I put it away on the on position.
I like this fine, especially at the price-point and how one can change the battery without removing the optic from the mount (blasted Fastfire II !)
BUT, can anyone design one of these that has the on/off buttons in a shielded position so that they don't get inadvertently activated? (again, a prejudice earned from owning a Fastfire II).
