[SHOT 2018] NEW Mantis Silencers From AMTAC
AMTAC Suppressors is releasing their new Mantis line of silencers, three of which feature their signature over-barrel design, with a new monocore system that focuses on overall signature reduction and capable of handling magnum rifle calibers. Available in four different models that are designed for different calibers, barrel profiles and overall lengths, pricing starts at $799 and are now available for purchase.
Details, links and additional information can be found below.
Rated for magnum calibers and available in both .30 and 6.5mm versions, the Mantis Series suppressors provide the versatility to go from an AR10 to a hunting rifle to a precision rifle with ease.
Available in several over-barrel variations, Mantis Series suppressors let you find the ideal balance between length, weight, and sound performance.
The single-piece CNC-machined baffle structure threads directly to your rifle’s barrel, which delivers uncompromising accuracy at long ranges and adds durability for shooters who practice regularly. The over-barrel chamber increases performance and reduces gas blowback without adding length to your rifle.

AMTAC isn’t just another suppressor company started out of a garage. We’ve been building mission-critical components for aerospace, medical, and defense industries for over 35 years. You can find our components in SpaceX’s rockets and in the Predator drone.
At AMTAC, we approach suppressor design the same way we approached projects for the Department of Defense. We look at things from a higher level—leaving behind preconceptions of how things are usually done born of habit and convention. Instead, we figure out how things can be done in order to give you a better tool for the job. It’s this unique approach that led to our Quick Thread over-barrel design, our single-piece baffle structure, and innovative projects currently going through a rigorous research-and-development process.

Sometimes we are our own worst enemies.
Just watched a couple of their YouTube videos. One point they brought up was that the over barrel version traps gases (due to volume) better thus not allowing as much gas inside the firearm and escaping out the receiver. Being a lefty with mainly right hand guns this sounds good. I've been looking at reflex (over barrel) suppressors for a while now due to being more left hand friendly.
