I will confess, I’ve had a love affair with Unique-ARs for many years now.

• I’ve gone to them with handguard concepts which they’ve brought to life.
• I’ve stocked my retail shelves with their bad-as-shut-yo-mouth handguards.
• I’ve put the handguard they donated on my store’s Toys for Tots 6.5 Grendel raffle AR.

And today, I’ve discovered several new reasons to love Unique-ARs.

We’ll start with the already-well-reviewed Unique-Grip.

Like a Sleep Number Bed For Your Hand

It looks bulky. It looks uncomfortable. It looks like something out of a science fiction movie.

But it’s none of those things!

Put simply, the Unique-Grip allows you to shoot your AR like it was custom-made for your hand.

• Whether your shooting with gloves on or without.
• Whether you hand your AR to someone with larger or smaller hands than your own.
• Whether you refer a grip with finger grooves or not.

With a simple twist of the bolt, the grip easily conforms to the shape of the hand of the person holding it. Man or woman, freakish bear claw or dainty little digits, no hand can not love this grip.

But Unique wasn’t about to stop with a pistol grip so…well, unique.

Of Pawns and Rooks

Let’s talk bout the Rook muzzle brake.

Boasting a 60% reduction in recoil over the traditional A2 birdcage, the Rook is putting other brakes on notice.

The top ports reduce the muzzle’s inclination to rise, while the absence of ports on the underside of the brake all-but-eliminate dust kick-up in a prone shooting position.

Available in 1/2×28 or 5/8×24, the Rook is a great option for any AR looking to stand out (I made the “unique” joke once already.)

But then, there’s the third reason I discovered my new love for Unique-ARs.

Dolo-Mite!

In previous orders placed, customers had 2 options when it came to barrel nuts – AR-15, or AR-10.

Until now.

Enter the ability to select DOLOS-compatible barrel nuts to work with the well-known quick detach system.

Now, you can have your cake and pack it away in a little Pelican briefcase, too!

Throw in a few new handguards, including the Swords (a perfect pairing for the Rainier Arms Overthrow lower) and you’ve got a company that once again proves why they’re worthy of the name Unique-ARs!
