Ruger Precision Rifle: KEYMOD is OUT & M-LOK is IN

    Precision Rifle

There are lots of timeless firearm debates to throw all of your shooting friends in a frenzy. They are sometimes more dangerous than talking about politics at Thanksgiving dinner.

    9mm vs. .40 S&W…

    Glock vs. 1911…

    Black vs. Flat Dark Earth…

    Keymod vs. M-LOK…

No matter where you stand on the debate of “Keymod vs. M-LOK” though, Ruger is making their position known, and it is M-LOK! Their wildly popular Ruger Precision Rifle (RPR) was originally introduced with a free-floated Keymod forearm and for 2018 they are switching that over to an M-LOK forend.

This new, updated version of the Ruger Precision Rifle will be re-introduced in 3 caliber offerings: 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .308 Winchester. All of which have an MSRP of $1,599.

Precision RifleAll of the original attributes from the RPR are the exact same and will carry over. You just now have the luxury to use M-LOK forend accessories which appear across the firearm industry to be winning the debate of Keymod vs. M-LOK.

Ruger is currently in the process of producing these new RPR M-LOK models for consumers. Like many things this time of year, they will most likely become more readily available the closer we get to SHOT Show.

So since we opened the can of worms… What is your choice? M-LOK? Keymod? Or heaven forbid you are from the quad-rail crowd?
