Maryland residents now have two additional options for AR style rifles. FN America announced the company was now offering two “state compliant” FN 15 rifles that conform to the arbitrary firearm regulations imposed by the Old Line State.

FN 15 MD Heavy Barrel Carbine

This AR style firearm has a 16″ barrel that is made of hammer forged steel and has a chrome lined barrel. As the name of the model suggests, the barrel is a heavy barrel profile. It is a direct impingement gun with a carbine length gas system.

The gas block on this FN 15 carbine is low profile and allows for a 12″ Midwest Industries handguard to ride over it. The MI handguard is free floating and has M-LOK type attachment slots for adding accessories.

A 6-position adjustable length stock and A2 type pistol grip are standard. FN America uses its Combat Trigger which has a pull weight of between 4.75 and 7.75 pounds. A single 10-round magazine is included with the gun.

The suggested retail price of this gun is $1,399.

FN 15 MD Heavy Barrel Rifle

This gun also has a heavy profile barrel that is cold hammer forged. Unlike the carbine above, it has a 20″ barrel. It has a low profile block with a rifle length gas system. It uses a 15″ Samson Evolution handguard.

The rifle has a standard fixed buttstock and combat trigger. A 10-round PMag is included with the gun.

FN America set the MSRP at $1,399 for this gun as well.
