NEW PISTOL: Springfield Armory 911 In .380 ACP

    Springfield Armory has introduced a new concealed carry handgun chambered in .380 ACP. The new handgun is called 911. Here is how Springfield Armory describes the model name:

    The 911 pistol has an aluminum frame made of hard coat anodized 7075 T6 aluminum. The front strap, mainspring housing, and the G10 grips feature the Springfield Armory’s Octo-Grip texture. Slide and barrel of the 911 pistol are made of 416 stainless steel and have a black nitride finish. The barrel length is 2.7″ and it has a 1:16 twist rate. There are two magazine options both made of stainless steel. One that fits flush with the frame has a 6-round capacity and there is an extended one with a 7-round capacity.

    The overall length of the 911 pistol is 5.5″ and it weighs 12.6 oz with an empty magazine. The gun comes with a Pro-Glo tritium front and rear sights. The Hogue trigger shoe is made of G10 and the trigger pull weight is 5 lbs. Among other features are the loaded chamber indicator, ambidextrous safety selector lever, full-length guide rod and flat wire recoil spring.

    Springfield Armory 911 pistols come in either black or stainless versions. Both options will also be offered with integrated Viridian green laser grips.
