M-LOK Barrier/Hand Stop by Impact Weapons Components

Impact Weapons Components has introduced an M-LOK compatible hand stop which also doubles as a barrier stop. It is as simple and compact little attachment as one can design for using in these two applications.

As you can see, the front portion of this attachment has a machined texture, which is designed to provide a reliable purchase on the barrier that the weapon is pushed against. The rear surface is smooth to be more comfortable when contacting the shooter’s hand. It should work perfectly as a hand stop providing a reference point for maintaining a consistent grip on the handguard as well as preventing from accidentally slipping your hand or positioning it dangerously close to the muzzle, especially for short barrelled firearms.

There is another small but smart design feature: the fastener is captured inside the hand stop. The hole for the wrench is just large enough to allow the Allen wrench to reach the screw, but it is smaller than the screw head diameter which prevents the screw from falling. Nice idea to keep the screws from getting lost.

The Impact Weapons Components hand stop is made in the USA and is covered by lifetime warranty. It is made of 6061-T6 aluminum and is Type III hard coat anodized. The hand stop is available from the manufacturer’s website at an MSRP of $27.
