Honor Defense is a newer gun company making the Honor Guard compact pistol. In an apparent attempt to offer its customers more options, the company is now offering a greater variety of frame colors. As some other manufacturers have discovered, there is a significant number of shooters that want guns in colors that cannot be described as “tactical.”

The new frame colors being offered by Honor Defense include:

• Purple Reign,
• Acid Green,
• Battleship Gray,
• Electric Blue,
• Enigma Blue,
• Mahogany, and
• Turquoise.

Previously, the company offered only three colors: black, flat dark earth (FDE) and olive drab (OD) green. The company states that Battleship Gray will join the existing black, FDE and OD options for its law enforcement guns, while all of the colors will be available on the other pistols.

The Honor Guard pistol is considered a modular gun with the internal chassis bearing the serial number. As such, the brightly colored frames can be purchased separately for the pistol.

Although I’ve not had a positive experience with this pistol, I’ve read some glowing reviews about them online. If you like the gun, but want something a bit out of the mainstream, one of these colors may tickle your fancy. SCCY Firearms is another company that offers a broad range of frame color options. Perhaps we will see some of the major firearms companies offering more variety in their color choices.
