New Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot

Primary Arms just announced the release of their new Advanced Micro Dot, it’s an upgraded version of their MD-ADS Micro Dot. Their new MD-RB-AD Micro Dot has an estimated 50,000 hours of battery life from a single CR2032 battery. It features fully multicoated lenses, 11 brightness settings that are controlled via a rotary knob on the right side of the optic and a sharp 2 MOA dot. Their new Micro Dot also retails for less than the previous version, it goes for $149.99 at PrimaryArms.com. Their previous model retails for $169.99.

However the new MD-RB-AD Micro Dot does weight a bit more, 5.4oz versus the MD-ADS at 3.9oz. Not a huge difference but if you’re trying to shave off as much weight as possible it might matter.  Another benefit of the new MD-RB-AD Micro Dot is Primary Arms is now backing it with a lifetime warranty, the MD-ADS only gets a 3 year warranty, and Primary Arms claims their new dot was designed for heavy recoil in mind. I’ve used a few different Primary Arms dots over the years and even though they’re no Aimpoints I’ve never really had issues with them. Check out the new New Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot in action in the video below.
