Kimber Offering New Micro and Micro 9 Models

    Kimber Micro

Kimber Mfg., Inc. (Kimber) released several new pistols in the Micro and Micro 9 lines recently. These compact pistols are essentially scaled down 1911 style pistols chambered in .380 ACP (the Micro line) and 9mm (the Micro 9 line.) A total of 11 new pistols are being offered.

    Micro Line Additions

TLE – “TLE” stands for “Tactical Law Enforcement.” According to Kimber, TLE pistols are designed for “duty carry, tactical applications and personal protection.” This variant of the Micro line has a black finish, night sights and G-10 grips. This gun has a MSRP of $734.

Eclipse -This .380 ACP pistol has a brushed polish finish on the slide. Though Kimber describes the frame finish as satin silver, it looks much darker in the photos. It has a number of Custom Shop features including the Carry Melt treatment, bobbed hammer, tritium sights and solid match grade trigger. The Eclipse has a suggested retail price of $679.

Covert – Clearly, Kimber was going for a tactical look with this pistol. It has a matte black finish and the Crimson Trace Lasergrips have an urban camo pattern. It also has the Carry Melt treatment with a round heel frame. Kimber set the suggested price at $1,053 for the Micro Eclipse.

    Micro 9 Line Additions

Covert – A lot like the Micro Covert, this is a blacked out gun with CT Lasergrips. This pistol has a MSRP of $1,108.

Eclipse – Another 9mm version of a Micro pistol, this gun has the brushed slide and matte frame. It sells for $734.

Stainless (DN) – As the name suggests, this gun has a stainless slide and frame. It is topped with Truglo TFX sights and a Hogue wraparound grip. The MSRP is $755.

TLE – Another member of the Tactical Law Enforcement line, this Micro 9 has the matte black finish, G10 grips and tritium night sights. The suggested retail price is $788.

Nightfall (DN) – This is the same pistol as the Stainless (DN) but with a matte black finish. The price is the same: $755.

Two-Tone (DN) – If you gave the Stainless (DN) the two-tone treatment, you would get this gun. It has a stainless frame and black slide with the same sights and grip. The MSRP is $755.

CDP (DN) – Reverse the two-tone effect on the Two-Tone and add a ambidextrous thumb safety for this model. The slide is stainless and the frame is black. Same sights and grip. MSRP: $1,028.

Desert Night (DN) – On this gun you get TruDot sights, a black slide, desert tan finished frame and a Hogue wraparound grip. Oddly, the company shows a set of Crimson Trace Lasergrips on the gun on its website. The price is $755.
