The latest, just-released SAINT Edge has been upgraded with a number of proprietary features custom built for this rifle.
The lower receiver is machined from aircraft grade 7075 T6 billet aluminum and is equipped with Springfield Armory’s proprietary adjustable Accu-Tite tension system.
The upper receiver is Type lll hard-coat anodized 7075 T6 aluminum, with forward assist and M4 feed ramps, and the charging handle is a Springfield Armory exclusive with a mid-length release.
The full-length profile, free-float aluminum handguard is also new to the SAINT. It is M-Lok compatible and has multiple QD swivel mounting points. The gas system is a mid-length, multi/mode adjustable gas block, pinned in place.
The new trigger system is an exclusive modular match, short-reset single stage design. The trigger components are Melonite finished.
The Edge also has a custom designed muzzle brake, the SA-Lite, featuring extra large ports and increased surface area of the baffle plates.
“The SAINT Edge is a tight, light, fast-handling machine that operators can count on — the most advanced AR-15 we’ve ever built”, says Springfield Armory’s Dennis Reese. “It’s a high quality, performance-based rifle with premium options built in — you don’t have to swap out features to upgrade it. We believe that, shot for shot, dollar for dollar, it’s the best you can get.”
