BATTLE ROPES from Breakthrough Clean

I hate cleaning! With a passion. Some people at the shooting range seem to love it, more than shooting their rifles actually, but that’s not me.

I don’t know which kind of person you are, if you’re a “shooter” or a “cleaner”?

I’m not saying either is wrong or right, but tools like the new “Battle Rope” is a great help for “shooters”.

The only firearms I’ve ever really cleaned properly, were my long range precision rifles during break-in. Shoot one. Clean like a maniac for 45 minutes. Shoot another, repeat. Shoot two, repeat etc. I’m still not sure I believe in breaking-in a rifle, but thought I’d better do it so I had one less thing to blame if my groupings don’t become as good as expected.

But just because I hate cleaning doesn’t mean I don’t clean my firearms, I just try to do it as efficient as possible. As I do a lot of competitive shooting, where a tenth of a second could matter a lot, I hate stoppages even more. I’d rather clean my firearms than have them fail on me, and that’s where products like the Battle Rope come in as a help.

While I haven’t tried the Battle Ropes -they’re too new for that – I have good experience with similar products.

The Battle Ropes are described as below:

Introducing the new Breakthrough Clean Battle Ropes. Available in a wide variety of caliber widths to cover all of your firearm cleaning needs. Designed to better clean the bore of your firearm, the Battle Rope’s integrated bronze brush and detachable hard bristle nylon brush provide twice the cleaning action. The threaded brass link allows for quick detachment of the hard bristle nylon brush for ease of cleaning the rope and its weighted brass end makes it easy to guide the rope through the barrel. Thicker than other leading brands, the Battle Rope™ fills the bore completely for a superior clean and its caliber tag makes it easy to always identify the rope you are using.

The Battle Ropes are available in these calibers, which should cover a wide range of firearms.

    .22 / .223 Cal (Pistol/ Rifle), .243 Cal (Rifle), .270 Cal (Rifle) and .30 Cal (Rifle)
    .35 / .38 Cal / 9mm (Pistol), .40 Cal (Pistol) and .44 / .45 Cal (Pistol).

    And for Shotguns:

12 Gauge (Shotgun) and 20 Gauge (Shotgun).

Below you can see the Shotgun version.
