Black Aces Tactical Quad Rail and Side Shell Holder for Mossberg Shockwave

Black Aces Tactical makes an upgrade kit for the Mossberg 590 Shockwave shotgun … I mean “firearm”. It consists of a quad rail with a full-length top Picatinny rail and short front rail sections on 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. The second part of this set is the side shell holder. It also comes with a magazine spike which seems to be a limited time offer.

The quad rail itself and the backplate of the side shell holder are made of anodized 6061 T6 aluminum. The quad rail weighs 10 oz and comes with all the necessary tools and hardware to install it. The shell holder plate comes with an attached ATI shell holder of 5-shell capacity.

Black Aces Tactical plans to start the shipping of this set by October 15th, 2017. The first batch will consist of 200 kits. The set is available for pre-order on the manufacturer’s website at $214.

Considering that the company has a quad rail for the Remington 870 shotguns too, I think the chances are good that they will also introduce a similar upgrade kit for the Remington 870 TAC-14.

Both the Mossberg and Remington firearms have become pretty popular due to the fact that they are manufactured with a pistol grip (never had a stock) hence can’t be considered not only as an SBS (short barreled shotgun) but as a shotgun in general. The overall length of over 26″ doesn’t make them AOW (any other firearm) too. So, these are just firearms. This is my understanding of the US legislation and you should not purchase these firearms based on my opinion. Make sure to check your local laws before purchasing them.
