Larue came out for the first time at Big 3 East Media Event. Mark Larue was here presenting something brand spanking new. He was showing off his 11.5″ Stealth rifle chambered in a new round developed by Federal. The .224 Valkyrie is a 90 gr projectile. The cartridge is a 6.8 necked down to 5.56 according to Mark. The round is stable out to 1,000 yards. Here are some photos of the round.

Interestingly, the .224 Valkyrie is similar looking to the 6.5 Grendel which you see below with the ballistic tip.

It seems we are seeing a new cartridge almost every week these days ? Soon the US Military will be announcing a new rifle cartridge and that will have a big impact concerning future choices.

I'm wondering how the wind will play with this little pill. Still, stoked that LWRC is putting out uppers chambered for this cartridge that will ride my Six8 lowers. I can already hear that big steel plate ringing.
