The Kraken, constructed of stainless steel and aluminum, is reported as being metered at 114 dB using milspec testing standards. For those not familiar with decibel metering, suppressed subsonic rimfire rifle shooters would be happy with a 114 reading. Bottom line – it’s a really quiet reading for a suppressed 9mm.

I’ve been following CGS for some time and I know they have been working hard to bring a quality product to market. So I’m looking forward to some independent testing. But with an MSRP of $900, the Kraken will be one of the most expensive pistol silencers available.  Is it worth it? If the numbers hold true, it just might be.
