Fab Defense makes an interesting shooting bench called TSB (Tactical Sniper Bench). It basically offers the same as a normal stationary bench does. However, it is portable and can be disassembled and stored in a relatively small package.
The TSB kit is ambidextrous in that there are folding and adjustable elbow rests on either side of the bench. It can be adjusted for shooting both from sitting and standing positions. It also features an adjustable tray to fit the rifle’s bipod in and make it an even more stable platform. That feature should be especially useful for a practice called “loading the bipod” when the shooter slightly leans on the gun applying steady pressure to the bipod.
The assembly video below shows the described features of this portable bench.
Although FAB Defense markets the TSA bench as a military/tactical product, I don’t think it fits that role the best. It is somewhat hard to imagine military or LE snipers carrying this and installing it wherever they need to. Of course, that depends on the mission but it should be needed for very specific ones only. I do think that it is a much more useful product for civilian shooters. Particularly, its mobility should make it a really good solution for those who go shooting outdoors or for varmint hunters.
