Billet Ambi Mag Release Glock Mag PCC Lowers Coming from KE Arms

The rapid pace of new PCC products continues unabated with known aftermarket Glock component manufacturer KE Arms, announcing the pre-order of their KE-9 lower receiver. The KE-9 is a billet machined lower compatible with Glock magazines. Setting itself apart from various other offerings is the inclusion of an ambidextrous magazine release.

The lower itself is made of the same 7075 aluminum common to forgings, albeit starting in plate form prior to machining. The magazine well is Glock compatible, broached during the machining process with a generous magazine well flare. KE Arms states it is compatible with factory and various aftermarket magazines. The ejector is included, held in place using the pressure of two screws. Finally, the lower is completed with mil-spec 8625 type III hard coat anodizing.

Interestingly, KE Arms has opted to forgo linkage for last round bolt hold-open functionality but does keep the standard AR-15 bolt catch so the shooter can administratively lock their weapon open. KE does mention that the AR-15 bolt hold-open function is compatible with various uppers that include the linkage.

The billet KE-9 lower receivers are available for pre-order now through KE Arms’ website. Pricing is listed as $239.95 with shipment in 1-2 weeks as of August 8th, 2017.
