Slide Rack Assist Device called … Cock Bloc

This device is not only designed to assist the slide racking but also works as a display stand for pistols. And yes, the manufacturer calls it Cock Bloc. Its main purpose is to aid people with limited hand dexterity to manipulate the slide and/or to be able to do it single-handedly. As you can see in the video below, it requires to stick the gun into the stand and apply downward pressure to rack the slide.

Actually, the slide stays in place and you work the frame, but the results is the same.

This device is made of injection molded plastic. It comes in two sizes called Alpha and Bravo. The Alpha version fits pistols with larger diameter recoil spring guide rods and the Bravo is for handguns with smaller diameter ones. There is no list of handgun model compatibility with the either version of the Cock Bloc. So in order to find out which one will fit your gun, you need to contact the company.

The Cock Bloc is made in the USA and both Alpha and Bravo models cost $29.95.

I think this device can be useful as a range accessory or for mounting it near or on the bed stand, or maybe for display purposes. However, in case if you need to move around with the gun, then this becomes pretty much useless. Just imagine how awkward it would be to try to mount this and use it to rack the slide in the middle of a defensive scenario. In that case, you’d better know how to use surrounding objects to rack the slide on.
