New Crimson Trace Laser for Springfield Armory XD Mod.2

Crimson Trace has introduced another version of their Laserguard laser sight this time for Springfield Armory XD Mod.2 pistols. The new sight fits all types of XD Mod.2 pistols: the 3″ and 3.3″ barreled Sub-compact models, 4″ Service model and the Tactical model with a 5″ barrel.

The Laserguard doesn’t require any special skills or tools to mount it on the trigger guard of the weapon and can be installed by the end user. It features the Crimson Trace “Instinctive Activation” technology which activates the laser as soon as you grip the handgun and turns it off once you disengage the grip. The sight also has an on/off switch. The Laserguard is powered by either one 1/3N lithium battery or two 357 silver oxide batteries. The battery life is advertised to be over two hours. This laser sight comes from the factory adjusted for 50 feet distance, but it is also possible to further adjust both the windage and elevation. The dot diameter at 50 feet is about half an inch.

Crimson trace also offers the laser sights combined with a Blade-Tech Klipt IWB holster which is designed to accommodate the gun with the laser sight installed.

The MSRP for the red laser version is $229 and for the green laser, it is $309. The holster adds $20 to either version of the Laserguard sight. These sights are also covered by a three-year warranty.
