During the 2017 SHOT Show I saw very little in the way innovation. One company that had some new innovative products was iota Outdoors. iota Outdoors hails from College Station Texas and had some new products aimed at the precision rifle crowd.

Since long range precision shooting is one of my areas of interest, I found their FIN and ZEROLIGHT anti-cant devices to be interesting. The FIN is a simple anti-cant device that attaches to the main tube of a rifle scope The FIN is a low profile piece of hardware and would not take up a lot of real estate on the scope. Like the FIN, the ZEROLIGHT attaches to the main body of the scope and has a small LED light, that not only illuminates the level, but also the windage and elevation knobs.

iota Outdoors parent company is Horizon Firearms. Horizon makes some amazing rifles.

Iota Outdoors also premiered their TRIAD and TRIAD ZL scope rings. The TRIAD ZL include an LED light and a bubble level. What is unique about the rings is that they feature a key the fits in between the scope ring and the rifle rail. This mitigates movement of the rings and scope during recoil.
iota Outdoors also makes rifle stocks. These stocks are used by their parent company, Horizon Firearms, which manufactures precision rifles. Neat company!
