TFB's 12th Day Of Christmas: Long Guns

Finally, we have reached the 12th and final day of the TFB Christmas series. As I stated from day one, very few of the the guns and gear listed over the last week and a half were new or previously unseen. My goals were simple: lay out presents that are fun to both give and receive. Hopefully there was something for everyone. In many cases, like mine, it’s fun just to dream.

Initially I planned the final day to be rifles only, but the last thing I want to do is alienate scattergun lovers on Christmas Eve and the first day of Hanukkah. Truth be told, I could have filled pages upon pages of shoulder-fired guns that I’d love to have Santa deliver on Christmas morning. I guess I view these high-dollar long guns the same way I do the Christmas season – the anticipation is almost better than the end result.

Which is one reason i enjoy writing for TFB so much. By researching new firearms and products, I get to live vicariously through all of you.

The 7.62×39 caliber SLR-107FR is a top notch, stamped receiver, semi-automatic modern sporting rifle manufactured in Las Vegas, Nevada, utilizing only the best and authentic Arsenal factory components. It is manufactured with a Bulgarian made Arsenal mil-spec 1mm stamped receiver and cold hammer forged and hard chrome lined barrel. The authentic US made components, such as the anti-slap double stage trigger group, mil-spec polymer stock set, left-side folding solid polymer buttstock, and a one-piece muzzle brake perfectly complete this rifle for unparalleled quality and accuracy.

Some of the other features of the SLR-107FR include: stainless steel heat shield, 800 meter rear sight leaf, trapdoor for cleaning kit compartment, accessory and bayonet lugs on gas and front sight blocks, 24×1.5mm right-hand threads, removable muzzle brake, and receiver side mounted scope rails for attaching any standard scope mount, including Arsenal, Inc.’s latest SM-13 scope mount.

The SR-15 E3 Mod 2 series’ 5.56 mm NATO barrel is manufactured for military grade durability, and is free-floated inside a URX4 M-LOK handguard. The ambidextrous bolt release, selector lever, and magazine release offers left-handed users the ergonomic advantages inherent to AR15-based controls. The drop-in two-stage trigger serves double duty as an aid to precision marksmanship while enabling surgical speed shooting at close range. The 5.56 mm 3-Prong Flash Eliminator interferes with propellant gas combustion forward of the muzzle to significantly reduce flash signature, will not ring upon firing or when struck, and is compatible with the Knight’s line of 5.56 mm QDC Signature Reduction Devices.

Adjustable AR drop in hammer assy with pull range from 4-5 lb without removing the assembly. There is also a heavier spring that can be installed in the disconnector area that will allow it to go up to 5.5lb. Trigger is manufactured by Elftmann Tactical and you can see all the specs there.
