Catch a New STD Rifle

    STD-15

While many people are out catching some digital critter with the Pokemon Go game, Standard Manufacturing Company hopes you catch one of their new STD rifles. The company is offering two versions of the new semi-auto guns: a Model A and a Model B.

The STD-15 rifles are basic AR-15 pattern guns using a gas impingement system and a variety of commonly sized parts. One nice feature on both models is the availability of left handed versions at no additional cost.

According to the company, the STD-15 rifles are “geared towards left handed users, sporting enthusiasts and avid long distance hunters.” Here’s a look at the specs and features on each model:

    Model A

    • 16″ 4150 CMV barrel with a government profile and 1:9″ twist
    • low profile gas block with short length of Picatinny rail for a front sight
    • carbine length gas system
    • A2 flash hider
    • polymer M-LOK compatible handguard (not identified as a Magpul product)
    • anodized upper and lower
    • standard charging handle
    • SB Nitride bolt carrier group
    • six position adjustable buttstock (appears to be the Safariland SuperStoc)
    • MSRP: $999 without add ons

    Model B

    STD-15

    • 16″ 4150 CMV barrel with government profile and 1:9″ twist
    • low profile gas block and carbine length system
    • YHM Phantom flash hider
    • extruded aluminum KeyMod compatible handguard
    • manual folding sights
    • anodized upper and lower
    • standard charging handle
    • SB Nitride bolt carrier group
    • Mission First Tactical Minimalist stock
    • MSRP: $1,199 without add ons

The company says the rifles come in a protective case that stacks better than other designs.

In addition to the STD rifles, the company makes the DP line of shotguns. Last year, GY6 posted a video that showed the DP-12 shotgun would not properly feed when pumped straight up and down. Has anyone else experienced this malfunction?
