Blaser Custom Hunting Rifles & Shotguns

The German company Blaser Jagdwaffen GmbH, more known to people as just “Blaser” had an impressive stand at IWA 2016.

They introduced a new new over-and-under 12 gauge shotgun named Blaser F16.

However this article focuses on the exclusive possibilities to customize your Blaser rifle or shotgun, with almost endless possibilities.

Blaser would like to think that the customer is the main driving force and decision maker in the design process, and their role as a supplier is to help make your dream come true, and help you with inspiration, guidelines and ideas. Hopefully there are not so many limits if you are the sort of person who is creative, and bring a big wallet.

Their custom stocks are made from walnut trees aged up to 300 years. There are 11 different levels of quality, and different color shades. Depending on your preference, the stockwood will be selected accordingly.

Each Blaser model can be customized in grades 1 to 5, with 5 being the most exclusive:

    Custom I (Super Luxus)

    Custom II (Exklusiv)

    Custom III (Super Exklusiv)

    Custom IV (Imperial)

    Custom V (Custom Imperial)

For instance the Custom I (Super Luxus) features flat hand engraving with 1-2 animals per side, a locking bolt in titan (gold color), gold trigger and wood grade 6.

The Custom V (Custom Imperial) offers monograms, 4 engraved animals per side, bolt handle ball in steel with flower, checkering and gold inlay, hand engraved barrel base with gold inlay and hand engraved sights.

As option you can get gold inlays on your sights, an individually engraved pistol grip cap and a lever action designed with animal depiction or ornament.

In 2015 Blaser showed a few variants with the materails from Raffir, which is a registered trademark, in  Raffir Fiber Stripes Yellow and Raffir Metapol Spikey Yellow. These looked very cool, and you’ve might have seen the same materials being used on knifes for instance?
