T3x, The New Tikka

Tikka, the Finnish manufactured rifle by Sako, has updated their popular T3 line to the “T3x” with nineteen variant builds (which should make Tom Gomez happy since he loves the Tikka):

    • T3x HUNTER FLUTED BARREL
    • T3x HUNTER STAINLESS FLUTED BARREL

    • T3x TAC
    • T3x LITE STAINLESS
    • T3x LITE
    • T3x COMPACT
    • T3x LITE ADJUSTABLE

The T3x has a number of new features that make this budget performant rifle a little better out of the box. It has a new modular synthetic stock with interchangeable pistol grips (which are sold separately), allowing the shooter to change the angle to preference (which allows for multiple shooting positions). The stock itself has a new attachment point allowing for the shooter to change the width of the the fore-end.

The grips themselves have been redone with an asymmetrical grip pattern and shape “that has been specifically designed to give a solid grip in all conditions”.

A new recoil pad has been engineered to further reduce the impact of recoil.

To better reduce the stock-generated noises, the new synthetic stocks possess a foam insert (though this feature is not available on models with an adjustable cheek piece).

If you feed a single cartridge at a time, their new widened angular ejection port will assist in making it a bit easier.

Finally, Sako has added extra screw placements on top of the receiver Allowing for a more positive placement and an anchor for a picatinny rail.

If you really want to dress it up a bit, you can get some of the designer Waters Rifleman magazines… 🙂
