Ruger American Rifle with Vortex Scope
With another new gun announcement, Sturm, Ruger & Co. introduced the new American Rifles equipped with Vortex scopes. The new guns will ship from Ruger with a boresighted Vortex Crossfire II rifle scope mounted to a standard American Rifle. The scopes are 3-9×40 with a Dead Hold BDC reticle.
These guns will be available in four calibers:
- 243 Win
- 270 Win
- 30-06 Sprg
- 308 Win
Each of the guns will be very similar aside from caliber. All of the guns will have a hammer forged 22″ barrel and hold 4 rounds in their rotary magazines. Depending on caliber and action, the guns have an overall length of 42″ – 42.5″ and a weight of 7.0 to 7.2 pounds.
These guns will carry a suggested retail price of $639.
These new guns are just one recent announcement from Ruger. Other recent announcements include the Magnum caliber American Rifles, restricted state compliant AR-556 rifles, heavy barreled 10/22 Takedown rifles, SR22 pistols with a little extra length and the GP100 wheel guns chambered for the .22 LR rimfire round. The company even introduced its own line of ammunition made with the PolyCase ARX bullet.
Typically, Ruger will announced a number of new guns prior to the SHOT Show. I would not be surprised to discover that there were three or four more prior to the big event next month.
