It saddened and sickened me to read the horrific news coming out of France. Our thoughts this weekend were with the French people as they came to terms with the 5th, and deadliest, terrorist attack they have experienced this year alone.

Tweets, likes, blog posts and hashtags will not stop terrorism in France. It will be the blood, sweat and tears of the French, and Allied, military personnel and law enforcement. Judging by the news, they are off to a good start.

This evening I spoke to a French soldier who will be deploying next year, for the third time in three years, to fight these fanatics in Africa. My thoughts are with these brave French men and women who are taking the fight to our common enemy.
