If you are a fanboy of Magpul phone cases and you are also an owner of the Galaxy S6 (even though it is not an iPhone… 🙂 ), you may be interested in the new field case from Magpul. And we all know how important it is to have your phone coordinated with your rifle furniture…

FEATURES:

  • Compatible with standard GALAXY S6
  • Semi-rigid thermoplastic elastomer construction provides protection against minor bumps and abrasions
  • Compact design adds minimal bulk to the phone
  • Textured surface and PMAG®-style ribs for added grip
  • Raised lip protects screen when laid face down yet remains unobtrusive
  • Charging cable port and headphone jack are accessible with case installed (optimized for use with factory charging cable and headphones)

One thing I can say for the Magpul cases is that they are certainly inexpensive. In a marketplace with cases that are frequently $30 (or more) it is refreshing to see a product under the the $20 mark. I have a friend that swears by his Field Case (I think he had one of the very first they put out).

You can buy one for $16.95 at: https://www.magpul.com/products/magpul-field-case-galaxy-s6

I have one on my S5, and my wife liked it so much she wanted one for hers. They're very nice, light, and durable. The material isn't exactly the same as the magazines. It's a bit more flexible, but one you have your phone in the case, it feels (texture- and stiffness-wise) identical to PMags. If and when I finally upgrade my phone, I'll likely check to see if they offer a case for whatever I'm using.
