The “Quicky” is a new magnetic tactical belt seeking crowdfunding on Kickstarter by inventor Machael Sargent. In short, its fully adjustable belt that uses a magnet to keep the main clasp together and so long as you don’t suck in your gut too much, it seems rather difficult for one to get this belt to unclasp.

Belts are available for $39 for the first users to support the Kickstarter campaign. Thsoe who opt to show some financial support and love will have other belts included including options for BioThane straps and standard tactical nylon.

The latest option is a carbon fiber belt buckle.

Interesting, but I like my simple strap with slide buckle off a parachute. Also the magnet will interfere with compasses, electronic gear and pick up metal filings and trash. Also it might not hold up to torsion forces in various directions other than a straight in line pull.

I think the belly button holds her together well.
