At my request the famous South American gun writer Ronaldo Olive kindly sent me this photo of himself with a PGM Hécate II .50 BMG anti-materiel rifle. This particular rifle is in service with the SpecOps Battalion (Batalhão Tonelero) of Brazil’s Corpo de Fuzileiros Navais (Marine Corps). He had the opportunity to test the rifle for an upcoming article that will be published in the July/August 2015 Edition of Harris Publications’ Special Weapons for Military and Police. The photo was taken by André Olive, his son.

This is the second SpecOps Battalion PGM .50 to be featured on POTD.

Nice piece of machinery for sure. I have been shooting my Barrett M82A1 for years so I know the thrill of pulling trigger.
