Review of Tech-Sight TSR200 (for Ruger 10/22)
Kevin Felts at AllOutdoor has reviewed the Tech-Sight TSR200. These sights are, hands down, the best iron sights for the Ruger 10/22. I have been using them for many years and can’t say enough good things about them. Kevin wrote …
The Ruger 10/22 is an amazing rifle, but if there’s one part on the Ruger 10/22 that needs improving, it’s the sights. If you want to be kind, we can say the factory sights are of a poor design. If we want to be honest, the factory sights are terrible.
The rear sight has these little bitty small screws with heads that are vulnerable to snapping in half. Shortly after I bought my Ruger 10/22 in 1986, I tried to adjust the rear sight for elevation. The head on the screw broke. This also happened to a buddy of mine. He bought his Ruger 10/22 shortly after I did, tried to adjust for elevation, and the screw head broke.
My only suggestion, if like me you use your .22 rifle for pest control after dark, is to replace the A2-style front post with one that has tritium/fiber optics inserts. Meprolight’s Tru-Dot Night Sight sell for around $45.

I've never had a real issue with the standard sights on my old Ruger 10/22 even after years of hard field use, but I will admit that the Tech-Sight TSR200 is a very intriguing option for upgrading the rifle in time to come.
Huge fan of Tech-sights myself. I had a difficult time getting my cheek low enough on the stock to get a good sight picture with the factory sights (which suck) but the tech-sights are taller and easier for me to line up. And the peep style is great for accurate shooting. I also added a Volquartzen hammer kit and it makes it much easier to hit my target with my 10/22. Now if I could just get some ammo for it...
