Hands on with Next Level Training and the SIRT Pistol

Last week I had the pleasure of heading out to do some training with company called Next Level Training. If you aren’t familiar with them, they are the makers of the Shot Indicating Resetting Trigger (SIRT) pistol which is a laser pistol that allows for a ton of dry fire reps and still gives feedback to the user.

Some of you might recognize Mike Hughes from Season 3 of History’s Top Shot. Mike is the CEO of Next Level Training, and I got a chance to spend a day with him and do some training with both the SIRT pistol and live fire out on the range. I was able to learn a lot from Mike that day, even with the fact that we split a box of 50rds between us. Using the SIRT was a very efficient way to train, but save money on ammo, or make the rounds that you do have count.

A full review of the SIRT is in the works, but here is a play list of videos of the training that we did that day. If you are interested in SIRT, check out the website for Next Level Training.

I love my SIT pistol and AR bolt. Using the LA shot tracking/timing software has been a big jump too. I need to check out the new freeware laser shot tracking software though.
