Great Lakes Tactical makes integrally suppressed 10/22 rifles that are a beautiful thing to (not) hear.

As I mentioned earlier in the week, I had the chance to do some shooting with the guys at Great Lakes Tactical in Ohio.  In addition to the full auto Glock, they brought along one of their integrally suppressed 10/22 rifles.  This was a nice piece of hardware.

The 10/22 I shot used a Green Mountain barrel with a sleeve over it.  The barrel was cut and when combined with the sleeve acted as a very effective sound suppressor.  The sleeve comes off easily for cleaning, and gives the rifle a nice bull barrel look.

The rifles come with a Hogue OverMolded stock.  Additionally, a GLT top mount rail is added for the easy addition of an optic.

I’ve shot suppressed 10/22 rifles before, though only ones with cans attached to the muzzle.  The Great Lakes Tactical suppressed rifle was much quieter.  When shooting subsonic ammunition, the impact of the bullet on the backstop some 50 yards away was significantly louder than the ammunition.

GLT sells the rifles for $899 complete.  If you have a 10/22 you want to have upgraded with the integral suppressor, the cost will run about $499.
