Ammo Prices: 07/18/2014
Week 16.
A couple of the vendors contacted me today and wanted to pass on that they are seeing a run on ammo right now, likely due to the sanctions that were recently announced. Also given some of the other world events within the past couple of days we may see some supply issues if people start panic buying again. Despite these events, overall it seems that the prices of ammo are still slightly trending down (more vendors decreased prices slightly this week than those that increased).
So, should you buy ammo? Yep. It’s how you feed your guns and have fun shooting. But I wouldn’t buy from a sense of panic. Keep a good stock on hand and carry on.
Also, this week the only free shipping that I could identify was through Ammoman. I didn’t flag anything in the tables specifically.
We do appreciate the support and constructive comments and will continue this article series as long as it is productive.

Thanks for your efforts.
What if there was a way to reload Berdan primered steel and brass with Boxer primers for.... AK-47 & SKS (7.62 X 39) AK-74 (5.45 X 39) Mosin-Nagant, Dragunov, Dragunov SVD (7.62 X 54R). Then you could reuse the previously fired cartridges that you normally throw away. Having a system like that could help ease pressure on ammo supplies for those Russian calibers.
