Hodgdon announced a new powder designed to reduce copper fouling in handguns. The CFE Pistol is a spherical powder that was originally developed for US military applications.

CFE stands for Copper Fouling Eraser. Hodgdon has been selling CFE 223, a rifle powder that also reduces copper residue in the gun.

Hodgdon expects to ship the CFE Pistol in January 2014. The company’s new load data should be released in December. Hodgdon expects to have more than 100 loads for 15 different cartridges listed that use the CFE Pistol.

That's all well and good, except I can't find CFE 223 in stock anywhere. I liked the powder when I tried it last year.
