Tom Knapp was an American sports shooter who passed away on Friday. Here is the announcement from the CZ-USA Facebook page:

The shooting world lost a great man today. Shooting Star Tom Knapp passed away this afternoon. Tom reinvented exhibition shooting almost 30 years after the passing of Herb Parsons. Tom was an inspiration to generations of shooters and he will be missed.

Our thoughts are with Tom’s family and friends.

The article linked below was written by Dave Miller last year covering Tom’s first two years of shooting with CZ.

R.I.P Tom I always enjoyed watching you shoot and tell stories... it's a damn shame and at a time in history when we needed people like you the most.

He was a blast to watch. (Pun intended.) His voice was entertaining, but also had a paternal confidence to it that reassured you that he was as friendly as he was knowledgeable. I'm sure there are a couple others that have met his records, but Knapp's legendary presentation of his skills will live longer than many of us.
