Beretta Silver Pigeon Shotgun KABOOM

A reader emailed us this photo of his Beretta Silver Pigeon, which suffered a kaboom a couple of inches forward of the chamber. He wanted to know if anyone readers had been able to persuade Beretta to sort something like this out, apparently they are not being helpful.

Springfield XDs Reviews

Packing Pretty has written an extensive review of the Springfield XDS. Gracie writes … Carrying the XDs is a pleasure. Of course, I am used to my full-sized, 4.5 inch XDm and my 4 inch XD, so the downsize is a huge change for me. On the same note, I didn’t find [Read More…]

Trigger Guard Concept

Strike Industries asked me if I would be willing to post this sketch of a AR-15 trigger guard concept and ask the TFB audience what they thought of the idea. Sound off in the comments. I am happy to post product concepts on the blog for any gun company, as long as the [Read More…]

The Wiki Weapon Project

Gun Power Screwdriver

Gadgetsandgear.com are selling a gun shaped rechargeable power screw driver for $40. I am torn between how cool this is, and feeling the need to preach the message of gun safety. Children might get the wrong idea about guns if they see an adult in the house using a [Read More…]

Review of the Thales EF88 (F90)

Jenzen-Jones had an opportunity to shoot Thales’ new EF88 (F90) rifle at Lithgow arms factory. I love the two-tone color combination of the olive green stock with tan metal finish. As superficial as it is, I am a sucker for a nicely finished gun.

Matthew Sturdevant has published an article at Military.com about the USMC return to the 1911 pistol … The newest Colt .45-caliber pistol is touted for its durability and design. It is tested to make sure it can be dropped in water, covered in mud, immersed in [Read More…]

Ruger guns selling well this year

Ruger sent out a press release congratulating themselves on producing their 1 millionth firearm of the year on 15 August. Normally it takes them all year to produce 1 million guns. Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is on pace to beat its own record of [Read More…]

Glock’s Trademark Design

In 2001 Glock applied to trademark their pistol design. The trademark application was approved in 2009 (Serial Number 76279422). Glock’s application states that this design was not used by anyone before 1995, so this trademark must be for the third generation [Read More…]

Things that look like Glocks

Being the generous person I am, I decided to take it upon myself to do some pro bono work for Glock’s legal team and find other non-gun products that infringe on their trademark. All of these products feature Glock’s trademarked “blocky and squared-off [Read More…]
