BBC: Missile dumped at US gun amnesty

Very funny! The full article can be read here. The photo below (from is a FIM-43 Redeye which entered service in 1969. The article does not specify the surface-to-air missle system but it does specify the length, 1.2m, which happens to be the length of the Redeye!

UPDATE: It turns out it is not a missile launcher! Read this blog entry for more information.
