SayUncle made this video of the ACR at the NRA Show. Unc said about the trigger … Also, the ACR had an amazing out of the box trigger. I even asked if it was a special trigger and was told that was standard. Little creep and a nice clean break.
Glenn M. Gilbert of American Rifleman reviews the ACR … Was the ACR worth the wait? To my way of thinking, the question is moot. Bushmaster didn’t tie up anyone’s money by taking orders it wouldn’t be able to fill or leave anyone hopelessly unarmed. The ACR [Read More…]
One aspect of the Remington ACR which I have not seen discussed online is that it is being offered by the company with a variety of lower receiver designs. The standard Bushmaster / Remington ACR receiver is made of polymer with a moulded pistol grip. Remington is also [Read More…]

Remember at the end of last year when a guy named Jesse James won a Bushmaster ACR? Well, he had much more restraint, and foresight, than I would have had. Instead of taking his new baby to the range the moment he got it, he put it in his safe without firing a shot. Now [Read More…]

One of the criticisms levied at the Bushmaster ACR by the internet gun community was that it was only available with a 1:9 barrel twist. Bushmaster has quietly updated their website and added a 1:7 twist rate barrel as an option alongside the 1:9. The 1:7 twist helps [Read More…]
This Bushmaster ACR was on display at Magpul’s SHOT Show booth. Bushmaster will almost certainly introduce an ACR finished in the A-TACS Camo scheme, although they have not announced anything yet.
Over at AR15.com Jarrod McDevitt, a Bushmaster employee, has answered commonly asked questions about the ACR rifle. What I did not realize is that the production version of the ACR does not use AR-15 barrels or triggers! Let me remind you all this forum is for product [Read More…]

Yesterday I blogged about Jesse James receiving the first consumer ACR rifle. He has had the rifle photographed and posted the photos on ar15.com. Ignore all Spike’s Tactical logos, they were added to the photos and are not on the actual gun. Jesse says … [Read More…]

A few days ago Confederate Yankee wrote that Remington were not developing a 6.5mm cartridge. This contradicted what Adam Heggenstaller reported a couple of weeks ago. I checked with Jessica Kallam (Freedom Group – Remington’s parent company), and the [Read More…]

Murdoc spotted a video where a Remington VC referred to the ACR, formerly Magpul Masada, as the Remington ACR. It looks like the rifle, or at least the marketing, has been transfered from Bushmaster to the military devision of their sister company Remington. I found [Read More…]
