Buns and Guns takeaway

A military/guns themed eatery in Lebanon called Buns and Guns

The slogan of the restaurant — “Sandwiches Can Kill You” — is displayed at the entrance with the photo of a hamburger with a pistol sticking between the buns.

The eatery, which looks like a military outpost, was designed to be an unconventional hangout but it also resonates because of recent armed clashes in Beirut and the many tanks and military troops deployed here in the capital. The restaurant is located in a crowded street of Dahiyeh, Beirut’s southern suburb and a Hezbollah stronghold that was the scene of heavy airstrikes during the militant group’s 2006 war with Israel.

Pathetic in my opinion.

Leupold MX: New Modular Flashlights

“It took a company obsessed with light transmission to come up with an idea this good” says Leupold.

The MX Modular Flashlight system allows you to combine 4 different bezels (heads) with two different sized main tubes (2 cell or 3 cell) and although there is only one tail switch at the moment we should expect more in the future.

It is a very interesting concept!

Machine-gun shaped liquor bottle leads to arrest

A guy, likely drunk, thinks pointing a machine gun shaped liquor bottle at a cop during a traffic stop would be a good idea.

Edmonton police say they’ve arrested a 24-year-old suspect after a man pointed what turned out to be a machine gun-shaped liquor bottle at an officer conducting a traffic stop Friday night.

Around 11 p.m., police say a second officer noticed a man in a nearby house pointing what looked like a long barreled gun at the officer doing the traffic stop.

For the sake of all Canadians I hope he is barred from ever owning or using a firearm.

US Trails Behind World In Aptitude Of Child Soldiers

From the theonion.com (a satire site):

After a shocking new study finds U.S. children lag far behind their international peers in subjects like rifle assembly and mine defusing.

“An average Sudanese child can field strip a Type-81 assault rifle by the time he is in seventh grade. An American child could not until he enlisted in the military”

Hypocrisy of the UN

I saw this video on kaiservontexas’s blog. The guy who gives this speech is awesome. It is a very moving speech and definitely worth watching.

Hillel Neuer of UN Watch exposes the hypocrisy of the UN Human Rights Council (March 23, 2007). For the first time ever, the Council president, Ambassador Luis Alfonso de Alba of Mexico, rejects the speech as “inadmissible” and bans it from ever being delivered again.

When the UN are not blaming Israel and the US, ignoring crimes against humanity and trying to take control of the internet from the US, they are trying to ban small arms. They make me sick.

In 2009 the UN Human Rights council will include China, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Cuba, all of which have absolutely shocking human rights records.

Gun Font

This font is very very cool. For each letter there is a gun glyph (image) . It has everything from derringers to assault rifles.

Picture 1-5

Here is an example of some text using the font

Picture 4-4

It works on both Windows and Mac OS X.

The 2nd Amendment font can be downloaded here.
