Indonesian police officers display confiscated arms during press conference in Jakarta, Indonesia on 30 December 2008. Indonesia police seized dozens of arms, 8,5 kilos of heroin, 1,5 tons of marijuana, and 16,000 methamphetamine pils in several operations in the end of the year. Indonesia has tightened security in the country ahead of the Christmas day and New Year Eve. Indonesia was hit by a series of major terrorist acts from 2000 to 2005, including the Bali bombings in 2002 and 2005, hotel explosion in 2003 and the Australian embassy bombing in 2004, killing more than 250 people.
Those sneaky drug dealers! The police think they have confiscated guns and all they have is paintball markers and cheap airsoft toys. I bet we find that those 16k methamphetamine pills are cleverly disguised aspirin

Danger Room reports that the US Army is look at developing a less-lethal grenade that “shower of high velocity rubber pellets that sting and disorient”.
Airsofters have long been using non-lethal gas powered reloadable “grenades” such as this one from Airsplat.com:
It will be interesting to see what the military come up with. A gas system instead of a pyrotechnic solution would definitely decrease the danger of injuring or killing people in a crowd which is one of the problems with flashbangs.

Roy @ The Download Monkey has many more.
I received an email from a company called ActionAirgun. They are running a game which starts later this month.
What do you do when you love shooting, but live in a climate where you can only shoot outdoors (comfortably) a couple months of the year? You start a new indoor action target shooting sport and invite the world to participate via the internet … that’s what.
Each week, registered shooters download three Courses of Fire from the Compete section. The COF specifies how to set up the range for that week’s competition – indicating how many target stands are needed, where to place the targets, where to begin and end the shooting course, and any props that may be needed to complete the challenge.
