STIMULATE YOURSELF: TFB’s Guide To Stimulus Check Spending

TFB's Guide to Stimulus Check Spending

TFB's Guide to Stimulus Check Spending

Across America, COVID-19 stimulus checks (direct deposits) are finally hitting bank accounts as the COVID-19 pandemic keeps us in lockdown.  In an effort to help stimulate our favorite part of the economy, we at TFB created a list of things we think you should consider buying with your stimulus dollars.

While we obviously support the use of stimulus checks to fund quality guns and gear, we also empathize with those of you who are facing layoffs and income shortages. On the other hand, there may be some of you who can afford to donate some of your surprise stimulus money to those affected by the COVID-19 crisis. CharityWatch.org has a listing of good candidates if you decide to give money to your fellow Americans in need. Stay safe and healthy.

    Silencers

Buying a silencer can be a daunting task. The high upfront costs and a lack of same-day purchase satisfaction can be enough to drive new buyers away.  This is why this stimulus money presents a rare opportunity for many to jump into the silencer world.  As ammo is either in short supply or not on the shelves, now is the right time to be in the market for a silencer.  And don’t worry, the NFA is still processing applications.  Here are a few silencers I’d recommend.

    Optics

It’s easy to blow your budget on a firearm and be left without a quality optic.  Optics can be incredibly expensive upgrades that are easy to overlook when purchasing many firearms.  With that said, there’s no substitute for a quality optic in the long run.  Whether it’s that EOTech you’ve always wanted on your AR, or maybe a Trijicon RMR for your pistol, now is the time to asses your optic situation.

    Quality Rifles

Gun sales and subsequent background checks skyrocketed in the month of March as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.  More affordable firearms quickly sold out as a result of this panic buying.  While those guns may be in short supply for a while, there still remains a good chunk of quality rifles available that are in stock and on shelves today.  Here are a few options I think are worth looking at.

    Body Armor
