The Latest Map Update from Leupold’s nationwide event.

This Treasure Hunt/Geocaching event is part of Leupold & Stevens Inc’s promotion for its new 2020 line of performance eyewear. All of the distributed pieces of eyewear are located in publically accessible areas throughout the continental United States.

The performance eyewear kits come with a pair of Leupold Performance eyewear secured inside a Pelican Personal Utility Ruck Case. The GPS coordinates for the event were released on January 8th. As soon as a kit is found, the treasure hunters are encouraged to post a picture of themselves with their bounty. Geotagging the find as well as using the unique “FoundMe” code is also needed to mark the pair of eyewear as found and so the map can be updated.

There are five styles of performance eyewear that will launch officially in the Spring of 2020. Each of the sets of eyewear feature polarized lenses, Leupold’s Guard-ion hydrophobic coating, Diamondcoat-hardened lenses, and Daylight Max technology for maximum UV protection. The entire frame is made from lightweight and ballistic rated materials for maximum durability.

Three of the five Leupold Performance Eyewear designs go a step further by offering an ANSI Ballistic Rating. The ANSI rating means that the eyewear can be safely used while shooting.

Leupold’s “The Hunt” promotion will run until each kit has been found. You can take a look at the current map that is constantly being updated here. At the time of writing, there are currently 7 pairs of Leupold Performance Eyewear out there waiting for someone to find them. Good luck and Have fun!
