I will be attending TNVC’s Night Fighter: Armed Professional at the Alliance Police Training Facility. This course is designed to increase the student’s night vision skillsets during real world operations. The course will be a combination of some live fire and some simunition engagements with evolutions covering team movement, communication, movement to target, stealth search and contact, target discrimination, vehicles, and CBRN integration. The course is for armed professionals who already possess a basic understanding of low-light/ no-light operation and is a restricted course for active duty Military, Law Enforcement, Security Personnel, and highly vetted civilians.

Training Facility

Alliance Training Police Training Facility is located in Alliance, OH and features an 8,100 square foot 360 degree live fire shoot house, 300 meter rifle range, aircraft simulator, and square range facilities. Many well-known instructors such as William Petty, Steve Fisher, John Chapman and many others put on courses at Alliance each year.

The live fire shoothouse is a useful training asset.

Equipment

For this course I will mainly be using a Knights SR-15 CQB uper with a PWS pistol lower. I will also be bringing a Scar 16 with a Trijicon VCOG as a backup rifle. White light will also be an important part of the course and you can see both rifles are equipped with Surefire M600 scout lights.

On top you can see the Knight’s Armament CQB upper on a PWS pistol lower and a Maxim PDW brace. On bottom you can see a Scar 16s with a Trijicon VCOG.

As a secondary I will be using an Agency Arms NOC and an Agency Arms Glock 17. Night vision has proven yet another reason to run an RMR on a handgun.

I am bringing a Revision ballistic helmet and plan to primarily run an Ops Core Fast Ballistic Helmet with a TNVC Mohawk Mk3 with a PVS 31A battery pack and a Norotos INVG mount with a PVS 31A.

On top of the helmet is a CORE Survival HELSTAR 6 Strobe providing white light and IR light.

I will also be running a High Threat Concealment belt with two rifle and two pistol mag holders along with a Dark Angel Medical IFAK and a High Threat Concealment holster that will fit both of my Glocks with a Surefire X300 Ultra.

While the High Threat Concealment belt’s primary purpose is low visibility and concealment, it holds the gear close in overt applications and is less of a snag hazard providing easier movement in more confined spaces.
