Federal Premium has been very busy as of late re-working many of their turkey loads for hunters to be more lethal than ever. This has come through the implementation of their FliteControl Flex Wad and the use of Heavyweight TSS payloads. Now they have a line of shotgun shells dedicated to that unique shot type with the aptly named “Heavyweight TSS.”

Federal Premium Heavyweight TSS .410 Gauge 3″ 13/16 Ounce 9 Shot

The name originates from the payload being of a heavyweight Tungsten Super Shot type. Federal is able to pack in payloads with No. 7 and No. 9 shot that is nearly double that of traditional No. 5 shot size.

More shot down range means more birds on the ground.

Right now, Federal Premium is producing these in 12 Gauge, 20 Gauge and even the less commonly offered .410 Gauge for younger or more recoil sensitive shooters. All of the offerings currently available come in packages of 5 shells and a portion of the proceeds are donated to the National Wild Turkey Federation.
