To Bluetooth, or Not to Bluetooth?… NEW Peltor Sport Tactical 300 & 500 Electronic Hearing Protection

    Peltor Sport

Peltor Sport, a 3M brand, has some new electronic hearing protection out on the market meant to be higher quality and more conscientious of the shooter’s needs. Their Tactical 300 and Tactical 500 Electronic Hearing Protectors punch in at a higher price point than most electronic earmuffs, $149.99 and $199.99 MSRP respectively, but there are a lot of strong attributes behind those retail prices.

The significant difference between the Peltor Sport Tactical 300 and Tactical 500 is going to be the availability of Bluetooth, but there are smaller differences as well.

Both electronic sets will cut out gunfire or loud noises that exceed 82 dBA because of their proprietary 3M SMART technology. Conversely, this technology will also amplify noises below that threshold to ensure you can engage in simple conversations with those around you while out at the gun range.

Another feature that is unique to Peltor Sport Electronic Hearing Protectors is “Clear Voice Tracking.” What this accomplishes for the user is the muff seeks voices within background noise and improves their speech intelligibility. This also makes it easier to hear people talking even while active gunfire is occurring.

Some additional features that are present in both models can be read below:
