In Iver Johnson Arms’ booth at SHOT Show 2018, there were two new firearms. One of them is a four-barreled derringer chambered in .22LR and the second one is a 1911 pistol-based carbine.

The derringer is called Pocket Ace. It features a stainless steel frame and slide. It is a single action gun with a rotating firing pin mechanism built into the hammer. Each time the hammer is cocked, the firing pin drum makes a quarter of a circle rotation thus aligning with one of the chambers.

The ambidextrous lever on the frame has three functions. In one of its positions, it works as a manual safety. When pushed up, it allows sliding the barrel block forward to extract the spent cases and load new cartridges. When pushed and held up it will allow to completely remove the barrel block for cleaning.

The Pocket Ace has 2″ barrels and an overall length of 4″. It is .7″ wide and weighs 7oz. It will come with walnut or black wood grips. According to Iver Johnson Arms, the Pocket Ace will be available for purchase in April 2018 and will have an MSRP of $350.

Another Iver Johnson Arms new firearm is their 1911A1 Carbine. It is basically a 1911 pistol with a 16.125″ barrel and a detachable wood stock. The barrel length and stock make it qualify as a rifle. The 1911A1 Carbine is chambered in .45 ACP. It comes with one 8-round magazine but has an option to be shipped with a 28-round drum magazine at an additional cost.

This carbine has an overall length of 36″. The length of pull is 19″. The unloaded weight of the carbine is 4 lbs. The 1911A1 Carbine is already listed on the company’s website at an MSRP of $698.
