Everybody had to know that 5.11 Tactical was not going to roll into SHOT Show with celebrity appearances and Black Rifle Coffee Company coffee in their booth without bringing along some dope new gear. We previously covered their new GEO 7 Terrain & Night camouflage patterns, but they also have new, innovative packs to peak your interest. Their Rapid Origin and All Missions Pack (AMP) both offer unique traits that may just suit your needs.

5.11 tactical rapid origin pack

The new Rapid Origin Pack is a lightweight backpack like many of 5.11 Tactical‘s offerings. This pack has a specialized laptop and CCW (concealed carry weapon) compartment to appropriately store and secure those more important items. The large U-shaped, zippered open to the backpack also offers ample room to dive inside and sort and store any essentials you want to throw inside. A web platform on the exterior of the pack allows for lots of customization as far as hanging more gear. You also have several adjustable and quick release straps available on the Rapid Origin Pack to make it fit you comfortably. This medium-sized pack has an MSRP of $84.99 for consumers.

5.11 tactical all missions pack (amp)

This next backpack released at SHOT Show actually comes in 3 different sizes based on your activity’s needs. You can now get an AMP 12, AMP 24 or AMP 72 which can be loosely interpreted as providing enough gear and/or utility for a 12-, 24- or 72-hour mission. An exterior hex-grid paneling system is lasercut and employs 500D nylon material. This unique type of paneling allows for multi-directional attachment of gear; not just horizontal and vertical. The hex-grid panel can also be removed entirely and stored inside the pack if so desired.

There are multiple secret pockets within the All Missions Pack to hide a wallet, CCW, personal documents or a secret rationing of Snickers bars. Aside from the backpacks, 5.11 Tactical will be introducing plate carriers and other gear throughout 2018 using a lot of the same features from the All Missions Pack series. At the moment, there are not openly stated MSRPs for these packs, but that information should become available very soon after the dust settles from SHOT Show.
