    Christensen Arms, like many manufacturers, will be attacking the precision or long-range shooting market in 2018. Modular and tactical-style stocks are all the rave currently and a company known for pushing the envelope with carbon fiber barrels is not going to miss out on the fun! They have already thrown their hat into the arena with their Modern Precision Rifle and now they are looking to expand upon that.

    Their Modern Precision Rifle which TFB covered back on October 18th, 2017 is going to begin to be chambered in several new calibers. In total, you will have your pick of 6 different, proven, long-range calibers from the list below:

    • 6.5 Creedmoor
    • 6.5 Precision Rifle Cartridge (6.5 PRC)
    • .308 Winchester
    • .300 Norma Magnum
    • .300 Winchester Magnum
    • .338 Lapua Magnum

    All short-action calibers have an MSRP of $2,295 while your long-action counterparts are $100 more at a retail price of $2,395.

    Christensen Arms more thoroughly delved into the expansion of calibers in their new Modern Precision Rifle:

    Building upon the successful launch of the Modern Precision Rifle, Christensen Arms has expanded the caliber offerings for the popular rifle.  Beginning in January 2018, the Modern Precision Rifle will be offered in a long-action configuration with .300 Winchester Magnum, .300 Norma Magnum, and .338 Lapua Magnum available. Additionally, Christensen Arms has added the new 6.5 Precision Rifle Cartridge to the short-action lineup.

    The Modern Precision Rifle was developed with a 100% proprietary chassis built with top-tier aerospace materials to optimize weight savings (16” .308 weighs under 7 lbs).  It also includes an adjustable folding stock with a locking hinge mechanism, an oversized fluted bolt knob, and a black nitride coated bolt, receiver, and muzzle brake.  The Modern Precision Rifle is built with an aerograde carbon fiber barrel, free-floating handguard, and adjustable comb; and is guaranteed to shoot sub MOA.

    Christensen Arms also put a short advertising video together to give you a better conceptualization of what their rifle is like.
