Nighthawk Announces Ladyhawk 2.0 Pistol

    LADYHAWK

Nighthawk Custom announced an upgrade to the Ladyhawk line of 1911 pistols. It is called the Ladyhawk 2.0 and is the first of several new pistols for 2018.

The Ladyhawk 2.0 is a 1911 style pistol that is being offered in both 9mm and .45 ACP. According to the company, the pistol uses a slim Commander size frame that is a better fit for some women with small hands. However, it appears that many of the Ladyhawk 2.0 differences are cosmetic. Nighthawk Custom states that its customers have been asking for “more feminine colors and styles.”

To address these requests, the new pistol has a diamond like carbon (DLC) finish with various parts and controls finished in rose gold using a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) process. The custom grips are made with obsidian, abalone and zinc.

Of course, the gun is more than a soft-looking finish. The 4.25″ barrel is match grade with a crown that is flush with the bushing. Both the front strap and mainspring housing on the forged frame have been thinned. These areas also have be scalloped for a improved grip. The gun has been dehorned for less poking when being carried.

If you believe a $2k Wilson Combat pistol is too expensive, I’d recommend averting your eyes immediately. The suggested retail price on this Nighthawk Custom pistol is $4,695.
