Circle 10 AK, with the permission from Century Arms, has published on their social media pages the announcement of a new Century Arms AK-based 9x19mm pistol called Draco NAK9. This gun is made in Nova Modul in Cugir, Romania and imported to the USA by Century Arms.
I know what you are asking. Yes, it is compatible with Glock magazines! Particularly, it takes Glock 19 mags and anything larger than that (Glock 17 mags, the 33-rounders etc.). Draco NAK9 comes with one 31-round KCI magazine (not the ETS mag shown in the images). The magazine release lever is an AK-style one.
Draco NAK9 features a hammer forged, chrome lined barrel with 1:10 twist rate. The muzzle is threaded with 14mmLH left-handed metric thread pitch which is standard for most AKM-based firearms. The pistol utilizes a stamped receiver and it is a blowback operated firearm. It also comes with a rear sling mount. The handguard on this firearm is an AKM pattern one which means that it will be compatible with the aftermarket AKM handguards. The dust cover features a top Picatinny rail section. Note also the shape of the dust cover with an extended portion in front of the charging handle to provide a full cover of the internal parts.
Century Arms Draco NAK9 pistol will be available for purchase shortly after the SHOT Show 2018 and will have an MSRP of $724.99.
I think this pistol can also be a great SBR candidate. Just imagine it with aftermarket furniture of your choice, a stock and a suppressor!
Many thanks to Luke Williams for the tip!
